Preparing for Surgery

Do NOT eat for 8 hours before surgery

You make drink small sips of water or have a few ice chips up to 2 hours before surgery

You make drink small sips of water to take your regular medications

Do NOT take anti-inflammatory medications (Advil, Alleve, Motrin, naprosyn, ibuprofen, diclofenac) for 3 or more days prior to surgery

You may take your “baby aspirin” until the day before surgery; do not take it on the day of surgery, unless it has been cleared by your primary care provider or cardilogist

Arrive to the surgery facility at the designated and check in with the receptionist

Please bring all the necessary insurance paperwork
